BANGKOK - Thailand has officially launched a comprehensive strict traffic law enforcement campaign beginning April 1, 2026, as part of the government's ongoing efforts to reduce road accidents and improve public safety on the nation's roadways.
The new enforcement measures include significantly increased penalties for traffic violations, enhanced checkpoint operations across all provinces, and the deployment of additional traffic police personnel in high-risk areas.
Key changes under the new enforcement regime include:
