CHIANG MAI - The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) is celebrating after Chiang Mai was named the No. 1 City in Asia in the prestigious Travel + Leisure World&#039 Best Awards 2025, with the northern Thai city also ranking No. 2 globally.
 
The annual awards, determined by votes from the magazine&#039 readers, recognize the best destinations, hotels, and travel experiences worldwide. Chiang Mai earned a Reader Score of 91.94, praised for its "super cordial people and amazing food."
