Search Launched for Missing Saudi Transgender in Bangkok

BANGKOK, Thailand – Authorities and volunteer networks are searching for a Saudi transgender visitor who has been reported missing in the Thai capital after abruptly losing contact with friends late last month. The Bangkok Community Help Foundation issued a public appeal on August 5, urging citizens to share the missing person notice and provide any information that could assist in locating the individual.

The missing person, whose passport and government identification documents bear the name Nasser Alzahrani, arrived in Thailand on May 29 and had been residing in Bangkok on a tourist visa for over two months. According to the foundation, the visitor had been utilizing short-term rental accommodations during the trip, frequently relocating to different Airbnb properties approximately every five days. The individual's last known location was within the Khlong Toei district.

All communication ceased on July 29 at approximately 2:19 p.m. Following that final interaction, both of the individual's mobile phones were reportedly switched off, and all associated WhatsApp numbers became completely unreachable. Despite repeated attempts by friends to reestablish contact over the subsequent days, all efforts have proven unsuccessful. The sudden disappearance has left family members and friends deeply concerned for the visitor's welfare, though the foundation's public appeal did not disclose further details regarding the specific circumstances surrounding the disappearance.
